3Nice oven but not for long
By MRambo
Purchased this oven a little under 2 years ago and the paint under the control panel area is peeling and bubbling. This is right above where the heat comes out and the top does get very hot when you use the oven. Called Frigidaire and was told this is a "cosmetic issue" not a defect and that even if I had only owned it for a week it would not be covered under warranty. I bought this to match the stainless steel gallery dishwasher I purchased at the same time but had I done some more research maybe I would've purchased another brand. Frigidaire customer service totally unhelpful and unapologetic - would not purchase again.

3Roomy Range
By SkyMama
The burners have never failed to light first try. There are five of them (four small ones and one large). The smaller burners struggle to bring a large pot of water to a boil. The big one does the job super fast. This means if I'm cooking a pot of pasta, and something else requiring a large pan, one of them has to have to wait in line for the single big burner.

The grates remove easily, making clean-up a snap. I'm a messy cook so that's important to me. My last range had a ceramic cook top. The one before that was a coil. Despite the drawbacks, I like this stove top better than my previous ceramic top range, and the coil one I had before that.

The oven comes with three oven shelves. It's roomy inside, but baking results in uneven browning. When broiling, the food at the center of the oven browns, while the food at the edges is barely touched.

If I had to do over I think I would have gotten a dual fuel range, one with a gas stove top, but with an electric oven. But I do love the stove top, I just wish it had TWO big burners instead of only one. That's a serious drawback for me.

Overall, I like this range, but I'm not in love with it.

5Very nice gas stove and oven for our new-to-us house - two years and running
By RatherLiveInKeyWest
We purchased a new-to-us house 23 months ago now and had this gas stove & oven range unit installed the week before we moved in. We had to purchase -- the former owners took everything with them (fridge, dishwasher, stove... everything) -- so we did a lot of research before making the purchase.

The gas range is outstanding. The stove that the former owners had installed (before they took it) was electric, but we really like gas. Luckily we have gas running to the house so the contractor just tapped into that line and ran the gas to this unit. The stovetop portion of this unit is excellent - the burners run evenly and they are easy to adjust. The flame level is easy to see so you can adjust to your need. The center of the stovetop has a flatbed with a burner under it, and that has come in very handy for everything from pancakes and bacon to blackened tuna and rib-eye steaks.

Excluding the long burner under the flatbed, there is one large burner, one medium burner, and two small burners. The larger burner is the only one that will quickly bring a big pot of water to a boil, though the medium one will do the job given more time. That is not a problem for us, and the small burners are perfect for sauce pans and sautes.

The oven portion of the range is decent size, and it preheats quickly. The temperature gauge is quite reliable (we metered it with an oven thermometer and found it to be within 5 degrees). We have noticed small variations in browning so make sure to turn items as they bake to help even things out.

The unit's under oven storage drawer has enough room to store five or six baking sheets, though not pans of any size. That's OK.

All of the grates are heavy-duty cast iron -- they are made to take a beating and last forever. The grates are easy to remove, as are the caps to the burners, which makes cleaning the stovetop a very easy task.

The only improvement that I would have liked to see would have been to make one of the small burners a large... if this unit had two large, one medium and one small burner, it would be perfect.

If looking for a range with these features, look and size, we recommend this one based on our two years of use.
