Great Stove but cheap knobs detract By Silvereagle We have had this stove for 3 months and are on our second set of knobs. The littlest grease or hot oil from stove softens up the paint on the plastic knobs. Ill probably try to get another set and paint them with clear poly. I have found other metal knobs (samsung electric range) that seem to fit but they cost $40 while the plastic knobs are $16. Except for the cheap knobs the stove has worked great. Bosch does not admit to any defects when called and have no work around. I did have one agent mention they were looking at going to metal knobs in future so you may want to wait on your purchase until they do. 13 of 13 people found the following review helpful. A joy in the kitchen By C. Katz My husband and I both cook, and are immensely pleased with our new slide-in, dual fuel range. We have the convection and warming drawer feature. We used the warming drawer feature last night when cooking many dishes for company--it was very helpful, and even makes up for timing glitches, i.e. when one dish is finished a bit earlier than expected. The oven functions perfectly, the range is great for all intensity flames; very low was important to me. Cleaning is easy, and the range looks beautiful in the kitchen. You may need the seller to supply a filler of about an inch to go between the wall and the stovetop, which they do have. We're grateful for buyer's ratings on all stoves, which were different than the Consumer's Report ratings, and helped us make this decision. 9 of 9 people found the following review helpful. Cheap Parts By Jeff I really like this range, but only giving 2 stars. The paint wore off the cheap plastic knobs after 1 month of normal use. This happened on the 2 most used knobs so it's clearly from use. After spending $2000+ on an appliance, I would expect the entire product to be made of good quality.
